The Gateway Program

This is an excellent opportunity for school students to gain experience in practical skills which are essential to the turf industry. Should you choose to continue your training, the unit standards you accomplish can be credited towards National Certificate qualifications.
In the Gateway programme, you will learn practical or 'on-job' turf management skills. You may also complete some skills by distance learning (correspondence studies). These skills are detailed in the unit standards which apply to particular areas of turf management.
Make contact with the NZSTITO to find out about a Gateway programme in your area.
